Unistone was founded in 1998 as an exporter and producer of marble, limestone, sandstone, blocks, slabs and tiles.
We extract Egypt's finest blocks from Egypt's purest quarries. The blocks are then transported to the factory located in Shaq el Thoban in order to be purified and cut into the desired thickness. We select the best quality stones in order to satisfy customer needs.
Our high quality tiles can be used for flooring in foyers, living rooms, kitchens, shower walls, slabs for vanity tops, counter tops and fire places.

From the block at the quarry to the container on the truck, every shipment passes through the same hands. Selected, sawn, calibrated, finished, cut, packed and loaded under one roof.

Raw blocks are graded at the quarry yard before the saw. We reject anything that won't carry through to a clean slab.
Stage · 02Stage · 02 / 0802Factory floor
Our workshop in Shaq El Thoban, the marble and granite district of Cairo. Gang saws, calibrators and finishing lines run side by side under one roof.
Stage · 03Stage · 03 / 0803From blocks to slabs
Selected blocks move through the factory and onto the gang saw. Each block is sawn into raw slabs ready for finishing.

Every slab is gauged with a digital caliper. Thickness tolerance is held to the millimetre.
Stage · 05Stage · 05 / 0805Surface finishing
Polished, honed, brushed or tumbled to spec. Each piece is wiped down and reviewed under daylight.
Stage · 06Stage · 06 / 0806Cut to size
Slabs are trimmed to the dimensions on the order. Tiles, treads, copings and bespoke cuts are stacked by reference.
Stage · 07Stage · 07 / 0807Packaging
Pieces are foam sleeved, banded and palletised on the factory floor. Pine crates are built around fragile work for sea freight.

Slabs and crates are A-framed and braced inside the container so the load arrives the way it left.
